Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Your privacy matters here. This policy explains plainly what information ameliaihope.com collects, why it collects it, how long it keeps it, and what rights you have over it. There are no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, and no sale of your personal data. If you have any questions after reading this, write to hello@ameliaihope.com.
1. Who We Are
This website, ameliaihope.com, is operated by an individual digital creator under the project name Amelia Hope — an AI-generated creative persona. We are not a registered corporation or limited liability company. The site is based in New York, USA.
For all privacy-related matters, the data controller is the individual operator of this project. You can reach us at:
Email: hello@ameliaihope.com
Website: ameliaihope.com
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is genuinely needed to operate the site and communicate with you. Here is a complete breakdown:
Newsletter Subscriptions
When you sign up for the Amelia Hope newsletter, we collect:
- Email address (required) — to send you the newsletter
- First name (optional) — to personalise emails if you choose to provide it
- Date and time of subscription — for our records and to honor unsubscribe requests
- Subscription source — which page or form you used to sign up
Analytics Data
We run our own lightweight, privacy-first analytics to understand how the site is used. When you visit a page, our system may log:
- IP address — collected transiently but anonymised before storage (the last octet is zeroed); we cannot identify you by IP
- User agent — your browser type and operating system (e.g., "Chrome 124 on macOS")
- Page visited — the URL you viewed on ameliaihope.com
- Referrer — the website or search engine that sent you here, if your browser shares that
- Timestamp — date and time of the visit
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party behavioural analytics platform.
Contact Communications
If you email us directly at hello@ameliaihope.com or any other Amelia Hope address, we will retain that email and your contact details for as long as needed to respond to your query, and for up to six months thereafter.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect payment card details (purchases are handled entirely by Beacons.ai), date of birth, location beyond what can be inferred from an anonymised IP, or any special category data under GDPR (health, religion, ethnicity, etc.).
3. How We Use Your Data
| Data | Purpose | Legal Basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, name | Sending newsletters, editorial updates, and occasional product announcements | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Anonymised analytics | Understanding which content resonates; improving site performance | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Contact emails | Responding to your enquiry | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
We never use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscribers: We retain your email address and subscription details until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain a suppression record.
- Analytics data: Anonymised analytics records are kept on a rolling 12-month basis, after which older records are deleted automatically.
- Contact form and email enquiries: Retained for up to 6 months after the matter is resolved, then deleted.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
This website does not set persistent tracking cookies.
We use browser localStorage (not a cookie) to save your cookie consent preference under the key cookie_consent. This value lives only in your own browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
Session-level data (like keeping you logged in if we ever add an account feature) may use session cookies that expire the moment you close your browser tab. These are strictly functional and contain no personal identifiers.
For full detail on cookies, including how to manage them, see our separate Cookie Policy.
6. Third-Party Services
Beacons.ai
Digital products sold on this site (such as The Amelia System and the Prompt Library) are listed and fulfilled through Beacons.ai, an independent platform. When you purchase a product, you interact directly with Beacons.ai and their own privacy policy and terms apply to that transaction. We do not receive your full payment details. We may receive basic fulfillment information (email address, product purchased) to support you if there is a purchase issue.
You can read Beacons.ai's privacy policy at beacons.ai/privacy.
Google Fonts
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers receive your IP address as a technical necessity of the internet. Google may log this. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy. We have no control over Google's processing of that request.
No Advertising Networks
We do not use Google Ads, Meta Ads, or any programmatic advertising network. There are no ad tracking pixels on this site.
No Data Brokers or Data Sales
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers or third-party marketers. Ever.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction covered by GDPR or equivalent laws, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
- Right to data portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format so you can transfer it elsewhere.
- Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
- Right to restrict processing: You may ask us to pause processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., newsletter), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority (for example, the ICO in the UK, or your country's equivalent body).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ameliaihope.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.
Right to Know
You have the right to request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties we share it with. The information in this policy constitutes that disclosure.
Right to Delete
You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (such as completing a transaction you requested, or complying with a legal obligation). To request deletion, email hello@ameliaihope.com.
Right to Correct
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a right.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information regarding the disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold personal information and do not intend to. Under the CCPA, "selling" includes sharing personal data for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not engage in this practice.
Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of in this respect. If our practices ever change, we will update this policy prominently and give you a meaningful opportunity to opt out before any sale occurs.
If you have questions about this, contact us at hello@ameliaihope.com.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include using HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, limiting access to personal data to those who need it, and regularly reviewing our data handling practices.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and any relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.
10. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the USA. We take steps to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including relying on Standard Contractual Clauses where required by GDPR.
11. How to Unsubscribe
You can unsubscribe from the Amelia Hope newsletter at any time:
- Via email: Send an email to hello@ameliaihope.com with the subject line "Unsubscribe" and we will remove you within 5 business days.
- Via the unsubscribe link: Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it will remove you immediately.
Once unsubscribed, you will receive no further newsletter emails. Your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we must retain a suppression record to honor your unsubscribe request.
12. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 where EU law applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@ameliaihope.com and we will promptly delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
